We are pleased to announce the 13th Annual Tcl/Tk conference (Tcl'2006), sponsored by Noumena Corporation, Digital Smarties, Eolas Technologies and ActiveState.

Rooms at $99/night from Saturday (10/7) to the following Sunday (10/15). Be sure to include our Group Code: JEO on the room reservation page to get the conference rate.

The hotel has extended our deadline until September 23, 2006, but the room rates will go up significantly after that.
Book your hotel room as soon as possible.

Several medium/low-priced restaurants are within walking distance, and a free shuttle to downtown Naperville or the Metra train station to Chicago. Downtown Naperville is filled with food and drink.

Advanced reservations required and only accepted within 30 days of pickup. Flight information will be requested. If others passengers arrive at the same airport within 15 minutes of your pickup time, you will be given the option to share a ride.

O'Hare to Union Station
The Chicago Transit Authority runs a 24 hour service - the Blue Line - from O'Hare airport to downtown Chicago. From Terminal 1, 2 and 3 Arrival areas follow the signs to the CTA station which is located on the lowest level of the Parking Garage in the main terminal area. Passengers at Terminal 5 take the ATS transfer train to Terminal 3.

  1. Walk 0.1 mile NE from O'HARE AIRPORT to O'HARE CTA (BLUE - O'HARE) Walk a short distance E on Terminal 2 - Cta Rail Walkway. Total walking is 0.09 miles.
  2. Take CTA BLUE LINE TRAIN (TO 54TH/CERMAK OR FOREST PARK) about a 40 min ride $2 fare

  3. Walk 0.3 mile NE to UNION STATION
    Walk a short distance E on Ramp.
    Turn left on S Clinton St.
    Walk 0.18 mile N on S Clinton St.
    Walk straight on Union Station Walkway.

    Turn right on Union Station Clinton/jackson.
    Turn right on Union Station Walkway.
    Total walking is 0.32 miles.

Connectivity

The conference will include wired and wireless access in the main conference room from Wednesday through Friday. Please bring your own ethernet card (wired or wireless). For presenters, several computers will be available for use during your presentation. Windows 2000 with MS Office, Linux with OpenOffice, and Mac OS X with AppleWorks.
