This page lists information relating to attending the conference.
The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites Downtown, Portland, Oregon, USA . Our room rate will be honored from Thur (11/6) through Sat (11/15).
The room rate is $154/night.
The deadline for this rate is October 3, 2014. Book before!
The holding period for hotel rooms has passed. To register for a hotel room, call 1-503-796-3851, speak to Mary Kirchner and mention the Tcl Conference to receive the $154.00 rate.
Take the MAX Train from the airport to the hotel. This takes about 37 minutes at $2.50.
You can reach the hotel from the airport by Taxi if you prefer that.

It will not be necessary to rent a car for the duration of the conference. The MAX Train covers the downtown area. See the interactive coverage map for Trimet. Day and Week passes are available.
The Embassy Suites is in the center of downtown. Restaurants, MicroBrews, and Powell's Books are all within easy walking distance.
The Trimet rail is just two blocks away.
Powells Books (with whole separate technical book store across the street from the main store) is about a 10 block walk up Burnside from Old Town.
The hotel has internet connections in each room and wireless access in the public area.
For presenters, computers will be available for use during your presentation. These will be equipped with Linux or Windows 2000 with MS Office or OpenOffice.
For those of you coming early or staying late, Portland is a beautiful city with many offerings to entertain you.
